ST. PETER THE APOSTLE CATHOLIC CHURCH
The existing site included 17 structures that dated from 1861 to the present. The architectural design was developed to retain the original towers of the church that was built in 1923 and approximately 75% of the remaining structure. An “antiphonal” shaped floor plan was approved for the new construction, allowing for more of the congregation to be closer to the altar area. A sense of the “old world” church was created which includes a large truss system in the center “nave” of the new plan.
